Halloween is almost here! 👻 The costumes are being planned, pumpkins are being carved, and kids everywhere are getting ready for one of their favorite nights of the year!
But before you grab those candy buckets and head out the door, you'll want to know what time trick-or-treating starts in your town.
We've put together a guide to 2026 Halloween trick-or-treating hours throughout the Merrimack Valley, including Georgetown, Groveland, Boxford, Middleton, Andover, North Andover, Methuen, Lawrence, and Haverhill.
Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, 2026, making it a perfect weekend for some spooky family fun!
Some communities have already announced their official hours, while others have not yet released their 2026 schedules. We'll continue updating this guide as more information becomes available.

Andover, Lawrence, Methuen, and North Andover have published information supporting their listed hours. Haverhill's municipal ordinance establishes trick-or-treating on the last Saturday in October, from 5–7 PM.
Previous-year hours for Georgetown and Boxford were reported in the 2025 Massachusetts trick-or-treating roundup.

Andover has announced its official 2026 trick-or-treating hours.
Families can also enjoy Downtown Andover Trick-or-Treating on Wednesday, October 28, from 4:30–5:30 PM. Participating downtown businesses and town departments will welcome children in costume for an afternoon of Halloween fun.
🎃 Boxford, MA
2026 hours: Awaiting confirmation
Boxford's reported 2025 trick-or-treating hours were 5:30–7:30 PM. We haven't verified an official announcement for 2026.
Bonus Halloween Fun: The Boxford PTO is hosting BOO! in Boxford on Sunday, October 18, from 2–5 PM.
Families can enjoy a candy-filled trick-or-treat trail, carnival games, live music, Halloween crafts, a costume contest, and more!

Georgetown's reported 2025 trick-or-treating hours were 5:30–7:30 PM.
We haven't located an official announcement confirming the town's 2026 hours yet.
